Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, opening, or using AI Guard (the "App"), you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the App and remove it from your device.

These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy and any additional rules shown in the App or on the App Store product page.

2. App Purpose and Limited License

• AI Guard is designed to help users review device storage, identify files or media that may be unnecessary, and improve routine device management.
• The App may include smart security checks, cleanup suggestions, photo and video review tools, file scanning, storage analysis, notification features, and related utilities.
• Hongkong Oaky Technology limited grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the App on supported Apple devices for lawful personal use.
• You may not sell, rent, copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, attack, overload, or misuse the App except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

3. Smart Security, Cleanup, and Permission-Based Features

Some App functions depend on permissions granted by you through your device settings. These permissions may include access to photos, videos, files, location, notifications, tracking permission, and related system capabilities.

• Photo, video, and file access may be used to find duplicate items, similar media, large files, outdated content, or other cleanup candidates.
• Location access, if requested, may support security-related context, app functions, advertising compliance, or feature experiences that require location awareness.
• Notification permission may be used to send cleanup reminders, subscription notices, security alerts, or important service messages.
• Smart detection results, cleanup lists, risk labels, and optimization recommendations are provided for your review and are not guaranteed to be perfect.

We recommend backing up important photos, videos, contacts, documents, and other content before using any batch cleanup or security optimization feature.

4. Subscriptions, Free Trials, and Billing

• The App may provide free features and paid subscriptions, including weekly, monthly, yearly, lifetime, or other plans displayed in the App or App Store.
• Purchases are charged to your Apple ID account after you confirm the transaction.
• If a subscription includes a free trial, it will convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial or billing period ends, according to Apple rules.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage, cancel, or view subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple policies.

5. Advertising, Tracking, and Third-Party Services

AI Guard may show advertisements and may use third-party SDKs for ads, analytics, crash reporting, subscription validation, and app performance measurement.

• On Apple devices, tracking permission may be requested through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing the Identifier for Advertisers.
• If you decline tracking permission, the App may still display ads, but those ads may be less personalized.
• Third-party providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not make warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, fully secure, compatible with every device condition, or able to recover a specific amount of storage.

• We are not responsible for loss caused by user-confirmed deletion, incorrect selections, device errors, operating system limitations, network issues, third-party SDKs, or modified devices.
• Security and cleanup suggestions are assistance tools only and should not be treated as professional security, forensic, backup, or data recovery advice.
• You remain responsible for maintaining backups and deciding whether to keep, delete, compress, or modify your own content.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of AI Guard is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how we may collect, use, store, share, and protect information, including permission-based information and data handled by advertising, analytics, and subscription services.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including software, source code, product names, icons, interface design, text, graphics, algorithms, and related technology, is owned by Hongkong Oaky Technology limited or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict of law principles.
• If a dispute arises, the parties should first attempt to resolve it through friendly negotiation.
• If negotiation fails, the dispute may be submitted to the competent courts of Hong Kong, unless applicable law requires another forum.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted in the App, on this page, or through another reasonable notice method. Your continued use of AI Guard after the update becomes effective means that you accept the revised Terms.
